How to disable app notifications in iOS.
How to disable app notifications in Android.

11. Why do I not receive some Mayday notifications?
Mayday does its very best to deliver notifications to you, using a trustworthy reliable system. However, you have to take into account the following facts:

Android

Some Android phone vendors integrate tools to automatically save power by forcing to stop some of the programs that are being executed, even if they are needed by the user.

We have seen that sometimes these “Power savers” are killing Mayday which is totally needed to receive notifications.

To avoid this and let Mayday work as expected, you should configure your phone to avoid being stopped to save battery life. You can look for how to solve this for your specific device model in Don't kill my app!

12. But… I've been using Whatsapp without any problems and I have received the notifications without problems…

This is due to two different reasons:

- Some of these vendors have an apps whitelist which can automatically set the app as an exception for battery saving. The criteria of this whitelist is unknown.

- Even if some of these apps were not whitelisted, people tend to use them a lot everyday, and when you open the app, the service is restarted if it has been killed. The idea with Mayday is to avoid using the app, unless it is totally needed, while being sure that the important notifications arrived. You may not use Mayday for a week, but get a notification on Friday!
